Default June, 2010 Great God Pan

This month lets use the ancient god Pan as our inspiration. This is open to many different interpretations from the Michelangelo Fauns to the horror tales of Arthur Machen to the recent film Pans Labyrinth.
Take a look at the materials out there and be creative, try and approach this in a new and unexpected way. You don't have to stick to the traditional goat legged horned appearance either! Lets see what comes creeping out of the forest of our imaginations!

Here are some ideas and inspirations

If you dig deep enough in mythology Pan can look liek ANYTHING - he is the root of the word PANic so what makes someone walking along in the woods
suddenly feel panic?

One more example, here is a traditional styled Pan figure from several months ago.

Cheers!

Talking Sounds like fun, Scott!

This sounds like a great project. Think I will throw my hand in there, trying to develop a zbrush sculpt portfolio, this sounds right up my alley. Cheers!

Hi guys, I'm new here and am looking forward to entering this one. I saw a pretty cool idea that I want to have a go at. I'm busy watching Ryan Kingslien videos on Zsketching so I want to try that approach on this one.

I just need to finish an other comp first...
